“When you want to learn, the age does not matter” is the motto of the 12 students attending computer classes at the Senior Day Care Center of the System for Integral Family Development (DIF) of Cozumel, chaired by Mrs. Gina Ruiz de Marrufo. There are 12 enthusiastic grandmothers taking computer classes. Although these devices did not exist in their time, they represent something new to learn and they are taking the lessons very seriously.

Their teacher, Miguel Archangel Rodriguez said that his 12 students are learning the basics for now, things like turning on the computer equipment, opening a Word document and how to write and save something. As anecdotes, he mentioned that one student already has a laptop, another student has a notebook filled with writings about her personal life and has now been given the task of transcribing everything to the computer.

Thus, these 12 young people at heart attend the computer classes at the Senior Center Monday through Friday 8 a.m.10 a.m.
